There’s an old saying that you are most assuredly familiar with: Give a man a fish and he’ll eat for a day; teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime. This is why Called to Serve sponsors a yearly career day at Kenderton Elementary School.

In recruiting business owners, corporate executives, hospitality professionals, and educators, CTS and Kenderton administrators gave students the opportunity to hear from individuals they may normally not see or talk to.

And talk they did. Kids could be heard asking poignant questions about why people chose their professions, what challenges they faced, or what they saw themselves as when they were school aged.
